I’m Marieke (Ma-ree-kah) Macklon and i’m a full time freelance Photographer, Videographer, DoP, Video Director, Colourist and Festival Photo Team Leader.

Since 2009 I’ve been capturing bands and artists on independent grassroots stages to stadium sized venues to photographing album covers to filming/directing music videos and so on! :)

I’ve always been heavily inspired by the 60s and 70s photography, music, fashion, interior design, fonts, colours etc. and I’ve always implemented my inspiration into my own work, though still creating a style that’s truly my own.

I love working with various of different lighting, angles, compositions, colour gradings and space. I’ve always gone against the typical rules of photography and able to create compositions and use space in a way that isn’t going by the rule book. This makes my eye to visuals and detail more unique, vibrant and fun.

Every August I lead the Official Green Man Festival Photo Team.

Before becoming head of the photo team in 2018, I was photographing for the festival since 2015 and was able to work my way up to now; leading the photo team to deliver the best images for the festival and working alongside the UK and Welsh Press teams (Inside/Out PR and FD Comms)
